Overall Satisfaction with Gong
We've implemented Gong to assist the sales team in organizing their day to day prospecting activities by utilizing the Engage feature. This has helped not only with consistent outreach efforts, but also tracking which contact methods are most effective in reaching sales prospects. Additionally, the AI notetaker feature has been a huge value add allowing the sales representatives focus on the client during an in person or virtual meeting rather than rushing to scribble notes down. The transcriptions from these calls are very helpful in sending a follow up email after the meeting concludes to provide the client with an overview/next steps of what was just discussed.
Pros

- Gong analytics to see which outreach methods are more effective than others.
Cons
- The accuracy of the AI Notetaker could be improved, specifically the transcribed calls as they contain many spelling/grammar errors.
- Integration with LinkedIn isn't as seamless as it is with Salesforce, specifically when identifying contacts to send connection requests to.
- The Gong mobile app is convenient, but lacks some of the features of the desktop version (unsure if there's a fix here)
- Time management
- Analytical data gathering on which outreach methods are most effective
- Personalized outreach to targeted industries making messaging come off as authentic and not scripted.
Gong has been helpful in client engagement with the market trends and highlights that are provided. This has assisted not only myself, but the rest of our team in formulating email campaigns, elevator pitches and overall relevant information to our target audience. This has also been educational in bringing our team up to date with the market trends and data provided.
Gong has greatly assisted me in customer engagement and targeted outreach as I'm not kept within one target industry. Given the current state of the economy and how it affects my clients differently, I'm able to identify buying trends allowing me to focus my efforts towards industries/clients with higher buyer intent.
