Overall Satisfaction with Gong

We used Gong to help us break down sales calls for training, accurate forecasting, and next steps guide. It helped us to figure out where we had gaps in the process and allowed leadership to view calls when they weren’t in attendance. I really enjoy being able to receive feedback on the calls I ran based on Gong’s AI analytics and recommendations for forecasting.

Pros

  • Very easy to use interface. Doesn’t take a long training to get familiar with the system.
  • Great forecasting recommendations and tools. I love the way it breaks down calls.
  • Sales training within the recorded calls section. Allows leadership to provide very valuable feedback.

Cons

  • I’d like to see functionality around more specific, customizable metrics. For example if I could program “look for how many cameras we spoke about” and it could find that data for me.
  • We have been able to reduce sales cycles within our organization because of Gong.
  • We have also been able to upsell more consistently.
  • Our forecasting has increased significantly based on the Gong data. If a rep can’t prove why the deal will close we go review the call.
It’s so easy to use, and doesn’t require a complex process to get the information.
Yes, the AI features allow us to search for specific key word and such.
We’ve been able to identify that we can ask better questions upfront in our discovery, which has reduced the time of our sales cycles in many different deals we’re currently running. This feedback is crucial for us. It’s been able to help forecast and make real progress in which deals to focus on.
I personally thought Gong was much easier to use than Clari, although they’re not necessarily exactly the same. Clari has more forecast data which I appreciate, but Gong’s feedback on sales calls seems more valuable to me, and was simpler to access. I thought it provided a better sale force integration as well.

I would recommend a 10 based on the following. I don’t know what our company paid for the software, but I can tell you the feedback is pretty invaluable for reps and being able to increase their sales motion skills within our organization. I really like the fact that I can give feedback to all reps without having to attend each call individually. They do a great job breaking that down.
