Overall Satisfaction with Google Analytics Premium
Google Analytics Premium is primarily used by our UA, product, and web developing team. It allows various teams to measure and track ROI, page views, interactions, conversions, and traffic from external channels. Easy access to data from other Google entities such as Google Ads. It allows us to gather data about your users and where they came from (search, referral, social, etc.) to optimize those channels then.
- Track campaigns.
- Well integrated with other Google products.
- No explanation on why one page will have high exit rate vs others.
- The UI can be a bit overwhelming at times.
- Mainly to make better business decisions instead of guessing.
- Good return on focusing on the keywords that the large set of users used to find us.
- There are a lot of good alternatives out there for a fraction of the cost. Also, another good reason you might want to consider another platform is due to privacy concerns. I have nothing against Google, but Google collects a lot of data about users from various Google entities, they might not want you to think that. Still, it does become a privacy concern for some, then consider going with someone more sensitive around privacy issues. Not to mention Google Analytics Premium does not come cheap. It comes with a big price tag.
- The overall objective for one is to track users so why burn a large amount of your budget on Google Analytics Premium and give Google additional data on users for them to use to target these users via other Google entities such as Google Ads. We choose Google Analytics Premium because that's what most folks around here are used to and know how to navigate through the UI, but there are other better alternatives out there.
