Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Google Hangouts is used for our internal sales chat functionality. Colleagues can talk and interact without formal emails or phone calls when a prompt response is needed. It can also be used on mobile, so it allows you to still be connected, even when you're operating outside of the office walls.

Alternatives Considered

Slack

Google Hangouts is easier and quicker to use. It is intuitive and simple. The majority of our organization is on Hangouts, and if anyone is logged into Gmail, they are able to be contacted. There is no additional sign-in required. The app is extremely functional and easy to use.

Likelihood to Recommend

Our internal sales team uses Google Hangouts to talk with each other. All employees have access to the tool and it allows us to interact with other functions in our organization when quick collaboration is needed.

Some employees prefer to use other tools, but for the majority, Google Hangouts is the preferred method of informal communication.
