Overall Satisfaction with GoToMeeting
GoToMeeting is used for inter-conference meetings across our offices in different locations around the globe. This is also used for connecting with vendors and customers as well. It is also used for internal reviews and presentations across businesses. One last application can be having internal interviews for teams across different geographies.
- It can create a common interface for people, customers, and vendors outside the organization to have a conversation over audio or video.
- It is easy to use.
- The interface is simple and requires almost no training to operate.
- If we compare it with Cisco WebEx, the ability to have direct integration with Office 365.
- More toll-free numbers for more countries as well.
- The application requires a really good internet connection, so calls over LTE sometimes gets disturbed.
- It helped us at a stage when we were around 300 associates in India, to around 1500 associates.
- It had a negative impact when Microsoft Teams was announced, which was bundled with Office 365, hence overall the cost of conferencing decreased.
- The call quality over the mobile network is not reliable at all.
- Cisco Webex Room Series (formerly Cisco Spark Room Series), Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business (formerly Lync)
Cisco WebEx > GoToMeeting > Microsoft Teams > Skype for Business. Cisco WebEx still remains one of the best technically available tools in the market, but it's expensive as well. And Microsoft Teams, bundled with Office 365 makes it a very attractive proposition to have. Still, GoToMeeting maintains its features and offerings to still be an interesting purchase for the organization.
