Overall Satisfaction with GoToMeeting

We use GoToMeeting across our entire organization from internal meetings to client meetings, from webinars to trainings and recordings. GoToMeeting allows us to communicate with each other across oceans and with all our clients across all timezones. GoToMeeting serves many a purpose - we use it to have simple daily meetings with each other, to screenshare and work thru problems together; and we use to quickly hop on with a client to solve a problem or an issue.

Pros

  • Great web plugins make scheduling easy.
  • User-friendly and intuitive.
  • Screensharing makes communicating across oceans and timezones much easier.

Cons

  • Occasional dropped audio.
  • Screensharing can be interrupted by the GoToMeeting panel.
  • GoToMeeting will sometimes run in the background, prohibiting the user from running another instance.
  • GoToMeeting has allowed us to communicate across oceans and timezones effectively making us, as a team, more efficient when communicating with one another.
  • GoToMeeting subscriptions can be a bit pricey for each user that requires their own instance.
  • GoToMeeting has cut down on response time when assisting clients with issues.
Compared to its competitors, GoToMeeting offers a friendlier and more intuitive user interface that allows for screen share and session recording. Converting your recordings for distribution takes no time and is easy to do and manage. The screen sharing capabilities allow for participants to work together on problems and issues while still giving overall control to the presenter. GoToMeeting's calendar integration makes scheduling a breeze.
I haven't really had to deal with GoToMeeting support, however, the few times I've had to reach out they've been responsive and helpful. It can get a bit tricky if you aren't listed as an admin on the account but overall, they are very helpful and timely in their responses.

For any company that needs to communicate internally or externally, GoToMeeting solves that need. For companies that need to be able to troubleshoot issues or screen share, GoToMeeting solves that issue. Occasional feedback can be a problem with users who aren't as accustomed to GoToMeeting audio but for the most part, it is user-friendly.
