Overall Satisfaction with GoToMeeting

The organization where I work is one of the biggest banks in my country and has over 75 branches across the country. Sometimes there are meetings held in order to understand the pros and cons of new banking products and the main risks the bank would face (both financial and good-will risks) if it launches a new product in the market. That's why we use GoToMeeting.
  • It is very easy to use. Even after the first time, you figure out how it works.
  • It gives you the possibility of having a very large number of attendees (up to 250), so you do not worry about the number of people that can join.
  • If your internet connection is bad, or your computer is old, it does not work properly.
  • Sometimes, when there are more that 20 people in the meeting, video quality declines.
  • It is a time-saver, as it allows you to have meetings with people that are not in the same location as you.
  • The price of GoToMeeting is not very high, so it definitely is worth it to use GoToMeeting in large companies.
The quality of audio and video are much better in GoToMeeting compared to Skype. Also the connection issues are not as common as with Skype. However, it was not my choice to use GoToMeeting (it was management's decision).
If you are going to have large meetings with lots of people and you all have a good internet connection, then GoToMeeting is a right and rational choice for you. Also, it allows you to record a meeting, which might be very important in some companies. But if you have a small team and you do not have a meeting every day, Skype is a better alternative as it is free to use, and the quality of the video and audio is almost the same as in the case of GoToMeeting.
