Overall Satisfaction with GoToMeeting
My organization uses GoToMeeting to hold meetings with suppliers/different companies who use the platform. It helps address the problem of communicating and meeting with partners in other companies. My organization does not use GoToMeeting for our internal meetings and we use another platform but have generally found the GoToMeeting platform to be intuitive for sharing documents and having video/audio conference calls.
Pros
- I believe GoToMeeting does a great job of providing a lot of flexibility in accessing and joining the meeting.
- It gives more modes of 2-way communication via video/audio, document sharing, etc.
Cons
- It can be a bit difficult to use for a first time user and takes a bit to get used to
- The Chrome add-on is kind of useless.
- The positive ROI for me is the time saved by meeting virtually and having a two-way conversation.
- The ease with each I can call in without having an account makes my life easier.
- Skype for Business (formerly Lync) and Zoom
I believe Skype is a bit easier to use than the GoToMeeting even though it might provide the same amount of features. Zoom, on the other hand, provides probably equal if not more features. I feel Zoom is a bit easier to use even for first-time users and works well even on the phone.
