Overall Satisfaction with HipChat
Most of our IT departments use HipChat. We also have a few admin departments using the rooms feature. We are able to communicate on the fly in real time, see who is available at the time and eliminate mass emails. We also use the one on one chat.
- Using the rooms for a dept is the best feature- you can lock rooms off as private or have open rooms for anyone to join.
- The emojis are pretty cool.
- They should add the feature to be able to chat to 2 people in one conversation.
- The last update has been very buggy- Kept crashing. Hipchat was fine until this update..
- Search feature used to work great but now it has not been working properly.
- It increases efficiency by being able to get a hold of another member.

Evaluating HipChat and Competitors

Would do a trial with other chat softwares to see if they are cheaper or handle conversations better.
