Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize Hootsuite to manage the various social media accounts we have. We also use it to pull analytics and to see if we're staying on top of our KPIs. It can be a bit time-consuming to post on multiple social platforms individually but Hootsuite solved that issue by making it easy to post across mediums. We also like the fact that we can look at other businesses and compare our results.

I love using Hootsuite and all of the benefits it provides. It has many strengths that help with social media posting and managing our accounts. However, I believe some of the weaknesses like limited paid ad management, analytics being a little basic compared to competitors, and not having access to all of the features (unless you pay for a Team and Enterprise account) played a role in my rating. Overall, Hootsuite is a great company.

Social Media Impact

Hootsuite has helped us connect with our audience by giving us strategic insights on when to post. It will recommend different times on different days and based on the social platform you are using. I truly love this feature because it's not a guessing game. This helps us reach specific goals and key performance indicators.

Alternatives Considered

Meta Business Manager

With Meta Business Manager, you are limited to posting on Facebook and Instagram. Whereas with Hootsuite, you do not have these limitations and can post beyond these two platforms. I do enjoy using Meta Business Manager. It has some of the same features as Hootsuite and there's no cost in using their social posting features. They also provide analytics as well. But since they are limited platform-wise on where you can post we kept Hootsuite.

Hootsuite has made managing multiple social media accounts very efficient and easy. As someone who has to post to multiple accounts, it can be a bit time-consuming but Hootsuite solves that issue. I also like the fact that there are social listening features for customer engagement. My favorite feature is the analytics and being able to export the data. The areas Hootsuite could improve is the fact that companies may have a tight budget and may not need multiple seats that the Team and Enterprise accounts have. We still want to experience the benefits offered in those spaces without feeling like it would be a waste of money to move up a tier if we don't need to. Would be great if some features were offered as feasibly priced add-ons.
