Pros
- Customisable reports
- Inbox 2.0 is clear and intuitive at a glance
- Wide integrations with platforms and 3rd party apps
Cons
- Social post tags and campaign tags. Would be great to be able to run reports on specific campaigns
- Some multi-channel metrics don't report together (e.g. Reels views vs. Video Views) This can be frustrating to report against as it requires manual intervention. Would love to be able to create custom cards in the report section where you can combine data from different metrics (like in Looker Studio or PowerBI)
- Owl.ly link shortener available to create links in bulk and not just from within the post studio
- Integration with BlueSky
- Scheduled analytics reports send as a PDF attachment weekly/monthly rather than a link to download
- Recommended times more specific (SproutSocial is specific to the minute rather than broadly '3.00pm')
- Difficult to tell in the early stages but has improved resource spend within the team
Having a one stop shop to see all of our social channels has allowed us to engage with our audiences quicker and more efficiently than previous. It has allowed us to create more robust strategies for content, and gives us the data to inform those key decisions.
SproutSocial comes out on top but the (much) higher price point reflects that. I chose Hootsuite as a more budget friendly solution, with similar features
