Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite Free
I have used the free version of Hootsuite for both personal and professional reasons. On the professional side it was used as a collaboration tool for multiple people to post to social channels at the same time and provide visibility to what was in the queue. It solves the issue of managing multiple social accounts across both people and channels.
- Easy to use browser and apps to allow for posting.
- Easy to understand the queue of posts
- Post once and share across multiple social networks.
- I would say Hootsuite failed to load about 80% of the time. Not sure what was going on but it was very frustrating.
- Sometimes if you were sharing an image the image would not show up in the feed (especially on Facebook).
2 - Marketing and PR
- Since its free it will have a positive ROI from a hard cost perspective but if you find yourself wasting your time trying to get it to load then there is a negative ROI on your time.
- Buffer
I left HootSuite Free for Buffer and I am happy I did. Buffer never fails to load and it has all the features I need from a social media scheduling app.
