Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

We use Insightly on the Program (Operations) side of our organization. We track our constituents and constituents on the waiting list. We use Insightly to track funding, activities and contact information for each of these constituents. We use it for communications and to track the frequency of our outreach to them.

Pros

Cons

  • Would like to be able to edit (re-order) the list of LIST VIEW queries
  • It would be great if the STATE field had a dropdown with the states listed
  • Close communications with our constituents has tripled due to implementing tasks and updating notes.
  • Have increased participation in our program by 75% by implementing improved communications tracking
  • Increased accuracy of our data by 95% by using reports to compare monthly Insightly results to raw data sources.
The software is easy to learn. Data entry is seamless and easy to navigate. Email templates are useful and easy to use. Tasks are convenient for managing workflow. Records link seamlessly.
Insightly has totally increased our efficiency for managing our caseload and managing our data. Our constituents depend on us to keep track of their activity funding and Insightly really helps us keep real-time stats. Our organization funding is dependent on good reports and Insightly helps us provide detailed information for our donors to make the decision to donate to our organization.

Well suited to containing and reporting many details of current and long term data. Doesn't seem quite right for us for a full donor database - not as many of the capabilities we look for in that type of system.

The process for our data tracking and reporting is robust and Insightly really makes it easy for us. We have invested a lot recently to use App Connect and automate our processes.

Insightly Implementation

I was not there when Insightly was chosen or implemented. But arrived shortly thereafter and created all processes from there.
Yes - After implemented, we went through many improvements as we learned the system
Not sure - This was the first software we used when the organization was 'born'

Insightly Training

It was easy enough to learn, but I developed a training guide for our organization and I would recommend at least that

Configuring Insightly

It is just right. I was pleased with the ease of configuring our software
Yes - we have customized the interface extensively - Our case managers are busy with their work, so we needed it to be as user-friendly as possible for them. I also needed data to be grouped in easy ways for data entry and I was so happy to be able to easily customize our pages
No - we have not done any custom code

Insightly Support

We were completely happy with our Customer Success Manager. Dylan helped us implement new and more efficient ways to accomplish our tasks/mission using Insightly. He was always helpful and insightful to our use of the software and helped us adapt it accordingly

Yes. To help us get better use out of Insightly
We needed a way to track our data over the years and up until we had support, we had to delete the current year's data at the end of the year. Once we had support we learned about a whole new way of using Objects in Insightly to keep that data archived throughout the years. That was a brilliant breakthru for us and we appreciated it so much

Insightly Reliability

Not sure about scalability to other departments, but I do appreciate the flexibility as our constituent base grows.
Very pleased. They always give long lead-time notifications of any planned outages.
Pages normally load quickly, but every now and then, as entering updates to fields, it take a while to update. Sometimes even after refreshing the screen, we have to exit and go back in to get the fields or queries to update.

Upgrading Insightly

Yes - Smooth/minimal downtime.

One time there was an unexpected impact where the system added data to each record and it was data we didn't need. I think it was a note, but it was a while ago.
