Overall Satisfaction with Intuit Mailchimp
We have a bit over one million subscribers in Australia. We are an events and marketing company. Intuit Mailchimp is used to reach customers, and via segmentation, to ensure that they are only being reached if they are deemed to be interested by the event due to their purchasing history. However, in my experience, aforementioned segmentation is quite limited compared to other platforms.
Pros
- Intermediate design interface – good for juniors
- An easy system to navigate when uploading data
- Easily customisable templates
Cons
- Definitely the limit on segmentation offers – being cut off at approx. 40 when spending $1,000s a month is the reason I left the platform – it doesn't allow you to really segment your data when you deal with so many different artists and genres.
- Unfortunately, I had to leave Intuit Mailchimp last year due to the limits on segmentation for your database. My colleagues also found many campaigns to be landing in spam folders – which is not a problem I've had with other platforms.
As aforementioned, no. In my opinion, this is Intuit Mailchimp's biggest flaw and what they need to attend to if they want promoters of the biggest shows in the country to use their service. There are not enough options for segmentation, even if you are spending $1,000s per month. I'm sure I'm not the only customer that has left to use Braze or another platform.
- Sign-up forms
Again, I am repeating myself, but in my opinion, Intuit Mailchimp doesn't offer anything that other platforms do – and they are generally more expensive (at least in the proposals I've received, everyone knows there is not a set price for these sort of products). Sign up campaigns are great – but I think you can literally do that with any platform, even the more minor players.
Unfortunately, I can not – for the most part most of these functions were useless for what my team and I wanted to achieve.
I'm sounding like a broken record here, but, nothing – it's the reason we left the platform. The limit of segmentation means that a company with a database the size and broadness of ours isn't compatible with the platform to work efficiently.
I chose Intuit Mailchimp over Campaign Monitor as it had, in my opinion, a better interface and UX. I then left it to go to Audience Republic as they promised us the world with integration with ticketing outlets. After they failed to deliver for us, I then left for because Braze for it's ability for advanced segmentation and automation in campaigns.
