Overall Satisfaction with InVision Freehand

We use InVision Freehand for virtual collaboration in place of a whiteboard and have found the functionality has exceeded our ability to be efficient and innovative.
  • Collaboration
  • Easy transitions between activities
  • Maintains data that can be leveraged elsewhere
  • Visualization for design thinking innovation
  • Better integration with Figma
  • More easily allow anonymous users (clients) to access and collaborate in real time
  • Allow for cropping/masking of images so another tool isn't needed when making collages, etc.
  • Sticky notes with data that can convert
  • Drawing and text
  • Color groupings and rearranging of content
  • Multiple users working simultaneously
  • Time savings on taking workshop insights into follow up reports
  • Increased innovation by allowing team mates to collaborate virtually
InVision Freehand is simple to use and doesn't have all the bells and whistles Figma offers - and its simplicity has a place in the workspace tech stack. We haven't tried Figma Jam yet - even though we use Figma, we still prefer Invision.

Great for whiteboarding sessions and design thinking when a team member is leading based on inputs from online participants. Good for team members to jump in and collab with them. Sticky notes are a little tricky to use and team members who aren't tech-savvy have a hard time making them the right size with text than can be read.

Using InVision Freehand

Color Selection can be tricky when changing colors for shapes and text I've seen other users struggle with creating sticky notes and getting text to fit in the box properly and had to abandon the tool for a workshop for this reason
After having a demo, I learned of new features I wasn't using. I don't know it would have been intuitive to find on my own.
