Overall Satisfaction with Jive Hosted VoIP

All of our calls run through GoToConnect. We have 25 handsets, and the beautiful thing about this system is that it works smoothly with deskphones, mobile app, and on laptops via soft phone. This system is extremely well thought-out, and great for people who only occasionally take calls to people who live on the phone. As part of our package, we had GoToMeeting as well, so people in our org who need video calls have that as well.

Pros

  • Device agnostic
  • Desk phone integration

Cons

  • The text messaging is weak. No multi-department functionality. No MMS. No other messaging channels, such as Messenger, live chat, or Twitter DM
  • No integrations with Omni-channel messengers, which means juggling multiple windows
  • Onboarding and offboarding is MUCH simpler with this app than SpectrumVOIP
  • Reporting is great
It was smooth. We were live and going in minutes.
We had fiber internet, so bandwidth wouldn’t be an issue. We seldom had call quality issues.
There are advanced features (such as dial plan automation) that require some technical knowledge and possibly training, but it is extremely user friendly and self-explanatory.
Yes - SpectrumVOIP. Spectrum was the WORST, with a portal that required you to visit numerous screens to modify or off-board one employee. Support was non-existent, and the worst part is that they are located one hour from my business.

Text messaging was non-existent also, and no plans to add it. No API, and no integrations.
Small businesses that need handsets will like this system. A lot of systems have to dogleg handsets into soft phones, where GoToConnect supports handsets natively. Scalable and modular, so large organizations that primarily use soft phones will be right at home with GoToConnect as well.
