Overall Satisfaction with Klaviyo
We use Klaviyo to send promotional emails and text messages to our subscriber base. In addition, we have a series of automations set up in Klaviyo that are triggered when subscribers and/or customers perform a certain action (e.g. when they abandon their cart at checkout we have an abandoned cart flow set up in Klaviyo to help push them over the purchase line)
Pros
- Tracks email attributed revenue
- has a rich knowledge base
- Segments audiences based on behavior incredibly well
Cons
- Billing could be improved. They bill for every profile in your database regardless of how active/inactive they are
- They could do with phone support
- Deliverability could be improved, especially for accounts that recently migrated from another esp.
- Klaviyo consolidates email marketing and text, which helps us save money by not having multiple software expenses
- The two-way text feature allows customers to interact with us directly through promotional text, which helps tip them over and win the sale
- Klaviyo's new billing structure will make growing our email list more expensive over time... regardless of whether we message our list or not
- Zapier
- Elfsight
All integrations were pretty simple and only needed a bit of copy-n-paste code.
Klaviyo's campaign sales tracking let's us know what angles, styles, formats, messaging times/days, and promotions are working best. It shows us which types of products are being purchased through email which informs our email strategy. We can also see where drop offs happen during a flow, which helps us "plug the leaks".
Klaviyo has helped with acquisition and retention.
Klaviyo is more robust that Constant Contact and AWeber, yet no less easy to use. It's also every bit as feature-rich as Active Campaign, but easier to use. (in my opinion) They're customer support isn't as good as Constant Contacts, but the tradeoff is a more sophisticated ESP that's better suited to bigger/growing brands.
