Mailchimp was used early in the business when we didn't have as many customers and weren't segmenting. We've used Yotpo for loyalty, reviews, and, most recently, SMS. We have yet to try Klaviyo reviews or SMS, but it would be nice to have all of these items in one suite.

A different marketing manager used Mailchimp and Omnisend and she is no longer with the company to ask. Emotive terrible to work with and Klaviyo was incredible to work with after them. It has made a huge difference having SMS and email in one place.

The comparison of Mailchimp to Klaviyo is that Mailchimp is a very simple email platform that is good for small businesses that are just getting started, while Klaviyo is a more in-depth email marketing platform that is great for businesses looking to grow and succeed in email marketing. The Klaviyo platform is one centralized place to create customized content, automate flows, manage and utilize customer data, schedule emails, etc.

As I explained, it was superior to Mailchimp for sure. Attentive had more SMS features, but Klaviyo does what I need for SMS, and the fact that it has email & SMS in a single platform, with the ability to create campaigns and flows that use both, makes it a win.

Klaviyo doesn't necessarily need data architects or engineers to support or tie the data together. Salesforce Marketing Cloud typically requires a partner, data architect and/or someone who knows SQL. The email templates and help documentation are extremely easy to use and search for the needed information.

Mailchimp is super outdated, and for a while there they lost their integration with Shopify. Attentive started out with only being a SMS platform, not email. So because of that, we did not want to migrate everything over to Attentive once they launched email since everything has been working great on Klaviyo.

Klaviyo is the market leader, it takes the podium and working with the platform you can easily see why this is the case. The only thing hard with Klaviyo is knowing how to pronounce the name. They have also done a good job if adapting to your company size.

platforms.Attentive is great if you want to engage with your customers via SMS and other mobile messaging channels. The targeting and segmentation capabilities are top-notch, which makes it easy to create personalized campaigns that resonate with your audience. They also have some cool features for growing your SMS subscriber lists, like opt-in forms and pop-ups.However, Attentive can be a bit pricey compared to other mobile marketing platforms, especially if you have a large subscriber list. Also, I wish their reporting and analytics features were more robust.

Klaviyo is by far the most well-rounded email tool I have used. It is on par with Mailchimp is ease of email design, but far better when it comes to analytics, flows, and segmentation. We knew that as we grew, we risked alienating our audience amid we didn’t create a more sophisticated strategy for customer engagement and retention. Klaviyo was the only option that allowed us to execute our strategy without sacrifice.

Klaviyo is better in almost every way. From ease of use, to user experience, analytics, you name it. Klaviyo comes out on top in every comparison and we (I) will continue to use Klaviyo until another platform proves to be superior. Until then, Klaviyo is the best solution for what we seek to accomplish.

Klaviyo is much easier to use once it's set up. It has much more options for creating emails and has a lot of automated features that make it much easier to use. It also integrates much more easily with ecommerce so it's very convenient for dynamic content for different segments of users.
