Overall Satisfaction with Klaviyo
We use Klaviyo as a core component of our marketing strategy to communicate with our audience, drive engagement, and ultimately increase product sales. As a small business, Klaviyo allows us to compete with larger brands by providing robust tools for segmentation, automation, and personalized communication—all within a user-friendly interface. We use weekly email campaigns with targeted segments as well as many custom flows to automate sales in an effective, but very hands-off way.

- Setting up certain features requires complicated coding
- Inability to enter flows more than once for certain triggers
- It's not clear how to reduce the size of emails to avoid "clipping"
- Klaviyo has allowed us to reduce the amount of time spent communicating with customers through automated flows
- We are able to reach more high-value customers through email marketing than other approaches, such as social
- Reporting is less accurate in recent years due to iOS changes
- Shopify
We are able to sync customer and order data between Shopify and Klaviyo easily and accurately
We are able to see what offers, promotions, and content resonate best with our target audience. This is reflected through click rates, sales, spam reports, and more. We can test different offers and different language to find the most effective strategies for our audience and strengthen our relationship with our online community.
Klaviyo has helped with acquiring new customers through sign-up offers and lead magnets.
For ecommerce, MailChimp and Constant Contact do not compare with Klaviyo. While their builders are not different, and the ability to create pleasing emails are similar, the targeting, segmentation, and data available are worlds apart. That said, I have not used MailChimp or Constant Contact for an ecommerce business for several years and their capabilities may have improved since then.
