Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training
We are using KnowBe4 across our organization for Security Awareness and Phishing Training. With being able to schedule training out months in advance it has made managing the campaigns a breeze giving more time to focus on remediation training and following up with users that are past due on their trainings. We have noticed a rise in awareness / reporting of Phishing emails helping keep our environment just that much safer.
Pros
- End User Notifications
- Ease of use setting up Campaigns
- User Analytics
Cons
- More Security training content is always good (but there is already plenty to work with)
- Users confused over Mandatory / Optional trainings as the optional trainings land in the Library rather then Under Trainings. If all training was in one section and just labeled based on if its required or not would help users be less confused if they need to take a training or not when they receive a notification for optional training. (I'm just being picky)
- I honestly can't think of anything else that needs improvement on.
- Users failing simulated phishing campaigns are trending downward
- Users are more engaged in security conversations and very curious
- Users report potential Phishing emails more often
I was not in the decision making process when selecting KnowBe4. I was handed the administration of KnowBe4 from the previous admin when joining the team. With no previous experience with other Security Awareness Training I can't say how they stack up against the competition but I would say as a new user the software and ease of use has been really easy to jump in and get up to speed.

Would you buy KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training again?
Yes
Being relevant in the current environment is super important when it comes to security training. If the content is outdated, it may not be very helpful for what is currently happening or trends and techniques hackers are using. Being able to use fresh content and updated concepts has been very beneficial to our campaigns.
We implement a blanket training across the organization. We expect all users to have the same value across the board. We provide a two week period for completion of trainings. Monthly Simulated Phishing Campaigns. Quarterly Mandatory Training. Monthly Small Bite optional Training. Remediation training for users that fail multiple trainings.
We mainly use the Risk Score by Group to help see how we are trending and if the training is working as expected.
