Overall Satisfaction with Litmus

We use Litmus regularly to preview and proof all of our Marketing emails that will be deployed. Our Email Operations team builds the email, and then we are able to easily view, edit, and comment any changes that we have that need to be addressed. It makes proofing and editing Marketing emails very seamless, and easy for us to provide feedback!

Pros

  • The comment and tagging ability - we're able to easily tag the correct person with the exact changes that are needed.
  • Makes the QA and approval process for email SO easy. The entire process is streamlined and efficient.
  • From a campaign manager perspective and the one QA'ing emails - there's truly zero learning curve. It's so easy to jump in and figure out how to manage and work, which is not always the case for software!

Cons

  • It would nice to be able to see changes in real time! Sometimes, I think I have to wait for our Operations team to send me an updated version to see changes. But this may be user error.
  • It would be nice to see previous versions of an email. Sometimes after requesting changes, it would be helpful to be able to easily go back and see what the original version had listed.
  • Litmus saves our team so much time by making the QA and email review process so much easier, streamlined, and efficient.
  • We often send out campaigns out to thousands of members, and Litmus gives us the assurance and peace of mind that everything is working as it should before it gets sent out.
  • Decreases the number of email review cycles we go through.
I am usually the one proofing and QAing emails - so have little involvement with Salesforce. Which I'm very glad about! Salesforce is a tough product, so being able to bypass it altogether is great.
I do not sit on the team who uses Litmus for email engagement and performance metrics.
We're able to deliver 1:1 personalized experiences at scale, with very little effort! It's great to be able to pull in dynamic names, logos, and other variable data across thousands of members our emails go out to. It creates a personalized email experience that is expected from our audience, without too much time, effort, or energy.
I've used HubSpot Marketing Hub previously to build marketing emails. In my current role, I do not use Litmus to build emails, only to QA - so I can cannot compare apples to apples. But I do have some familiarity with Hubspot, and I was never able to easily share an email for feedback using Hubspot. I would need to screenshot or send a link and wait for feedback to be sent via email.

For the instance that we use it - it is 100% worth it. We use primarily for email marketing and proofing/QAing emails. It provides all stakeholders visibility into what the email looks like and what changes need to be made before approving. There are likely many other ways to use Litmus, but this is the main use case that I use Litmus at my company.
