Overall Satisfaction with LogMeIn Central by GoTo

We use LogMeIn Central by GoTo for remote management and monitoring of various devices, specifically desk tops and laptops. It can also be used for patch management and automation through the software. This often times is used when issues occur and a Level 2 or 3 technician will need to remote into the device to review what is occurring. Action items can then be handled by the technician to remediate the issue.

  • Printing issues with various reports can sometime be fluky, then suddenly they clear up

  • LogMeIn Central by GoTo only provides Server Level Access to the Terminal Server
  • Can be costly initial cost only supports 25 devices, if you're a large company this adds up very quickly from a pricing standpoint.
LogMeIn Central by GoTo is very intuitive, it is user friendly for everyone. The technician will send a link to the person they want to remote into, the person will click on the link and an acknowledgement will be sent back to the tech. The session is establish very quickly to now allow the technician to perform what it is that needs to be done with said device.
I have used this product at several companies I've worked at and work with it now. I personally have not had any issues with outages which prevent us from remoting in to a device. They also have a Central Support Group which provides information if for some reason issues are happening and folks are unable to initiate remote login.
I like all of the products I list. I have worked with Connect Wise and MS Intune. Kaseya VSA was part of the initial review list of products, however it was eliminated. MS and CW are good they have many of the similar items the LogMeIn Central by GoTo does, Remote Management, Remote to Servers, Reporting, Automation, etc. Often times if comes down to budgetary cost by number of devices, along with how well their Customer Support is. Those are two keys items for any product such as these.

This is a great tool whether your an SMB (Small/Medium) business or a larger enterprise company. One of the biggest struggles that folks have is when something is not functioning correctly on their laptop or device and they are unable to articulate the issue, or just at a loss. This is also useful with manufacturers who sell laptops/desktops to provide assistance to the end client to identify hardware or software issues on their machine.
