Overall Satisfaction with Looker

We use Looker to build dashboards to visualize data and analyze product usage for internal customers in our company. It allows us to customize different chart types in a clearer way for reading and has the user interface of other Google family products.

Pros

Cons

  • User interface is outdated.
  • It allowed the entire team to have access to information that previously only a few had.
  • It allows us to monitor indicators more efficiently, saving time.
Technically, Power BI is much more complete and powerful, but it's like an ocean liner. I didn't need all that equipment. In my case, I needed to move more quickly, like on a speedboat, to build a page with several data sources in a single source of truth that could be easily updated and edited by team members. Grafana, on the other hand, is more geared towards developers and wouldn't meet our needs of being able to display the data to more people.

Looker will be much more practical than a simple spreadsheet when working with a large volume of information. Its ability to integrate with spreadsheets and Google Analytics or take data from websites and landing pages makes it easier to build several tables and graphs on a single page.
