Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp

We use it to keep in contact with our network. That includes our business and personal mailing list. Any potential clients that sign up for our mailing list as well. It simplifies the contact process for us and always keeps us top of mind for clients and friends. It as replaced our rolodex for customer contact.
  • List organization
  • Importing contacts from 3rd parties
  • More templates to use when sending out mass emails
  • Simplify the template interface
  • Has helped retain clients
  • Has helped spread the word from current clients to new clients
The other product we tried was just not as user friendly and customizable as Mailchimp. The barrier to entry was much less with Mailchimp. We were able to get our campaigns up and running very quickly. We didn't need days or hours of training to work the website or to send out our first email.
While it is very easy to use overall, there could be some tweaks that make it even easier. It is a little tough to add or delete data. There's a few steps that could be eliminated to make the process smoother, specifically when designing an email using the template. Overall it's fine for the average user though.
We don't necessarily use Mailchimp for anything more than customer contact, but we are definitely looking to expand our marketing in 2020 and will explore all the products and services they have to offer. If it's the same across the board as what we are familiar with, that should be great.
We have had many successes by past clients that have emailed and said they are glad we have kept in contact as they need our services again. Without Mailchimp, they might have forgotten to call us or use us when the need arises. We learned that quality is definitely better than quantity when it comes to emailing clients.
If you are a smaller company and are handling a lot of your customer contact and social media on your own, this is the product for you. It is easy for 1 or 2 people to make periodic changes to lists and also send out mass emails when necessary. For a big organization it might not make much sense.
