Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp
We've been using Mailchimp at our organization to handle both our email automation with forms, audience gathering and reporting, as well as for sending out our newsletters updates. It addresses how we capture contact information from our various landing pages and helps us send out customized emails to our audience. In addition, it allows us to send customized automated responses to some of our audience groups.
Pros
- Email design
- Automation
Cons
- Marketing automation.
- Ability to send to all audiences.
- It allows us to connect with our audience.
- It allows us to collect and grow our audience.
Mailchimp has a lot more competitive pricing. In addition, Mailchimp has a better pricing model in that there's transparency in what you can do. It's not like they're always trying to upsell you and lock features from you, compared to other products like HubSpot. It really accommodates for whatever level you're at with your mailing solution, even providing a great free program to start you off with.
This, I feel, is somewhere that Mailchimp can grow with. I'd like to know more information from our audience, like what pages they've visited. Based on that, I'd like to send customized drip campaigns. I felt other products have better perfected their process of marketing automation and drip campaigns.
Read. Do some homework. You'll be surprised what Mailchimp can do. You might have to do a bit of research, but I feel Mailchimp is really developing as a product to deliver your marketing needs. Another lesson I learned was to use the product. Sometimes you tend to get lazy and collect emails, but not really engage your audience. Engage your audience. Do some A/B testing. Learn what works for your audience and keep growing.
