Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp

I've used Mailchimp primarily for clients. It serves as a great email repository system when integrating with landing page software. It solves the problem of collecting email address and storing them in a single system.
  • Tagging contacts
  • Audience segmentation
  • Form creation
  • Visual workflow builder (finally implemented recently)
  • Limited functionality with lists
  • Other than that, great beginner platform
  • Customer retention
  • Increased sales
  • Increased engagement
Mailchimp is a great introductory email marketing system that offers more than just email marketing. If you're looking for more of a well rounded system that you can use for your website, basic ads, and email marketing, Mailchimp is a great platform that offers a little of everything. Great for new businesses or businesses with a small email list. Not the most advanced for automation and workflow-there are more powerful programs out there like Infusionsoft & ActiveCampaign.
Again, great for new email automation users. Very intuitive system with easy to use email builder. Mailchimp has done a great job being a household name for email marketing, like GoDaddy for hosting. It may not be the most advanced email marketing platform, but it does a great job across the board for basic functionality.
I haven't utilized all the systems within Mailchimp to streamline systems, however, I do recognize the value this can add for businesses who want to manage things in house and not necessary have the best of the best, but have an easy experience.
Mailchimp has been a great repository for email addresses-that's the primary use case for me. With some of the recent changes they've implemented, I haven't used it as much because of some list restrictions. However, it's still a great entry level email marketing platform. I also recognize the value they've added in making it more of an all in one marketing platform to take care of social and website as well-it just doesn't fit my needs or most of my clients.
For clients just starting their email marketing journey, I recommend Mailchimp. I haven't used it for more advanced clients or clients with larger lists. It's great for newsletter distribution and easy email design. I haven't used their visual workflow builder/automation, but glad to see they finally built that.
