Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Power Automate

We use Microsoft Power Automate to automate some processes wich require data transfer from one application to another. This automation saves us time and improves the quality, because there are no errors made in the data transfer. We mainly use Microsoft Power Automate to automate processes between webapps, although we also use Microsoft Power Automate Desktop for one process with an on-premise app.

Pros

  • Data transfer
  • Low code
  • Easy to maintain

Cons

  • Better guide in complex automations
  • Improve the performance of large process with much iterations
  • Better on desktop performance and stability
  • Low code
  • Easy and fast automation
  • Reliable, once dialed in
  • Higher turnover per FTE
  • Less errors being made due to automation
  • More consistency in the workflow, so better scalability
The initial setup is easy, but once you are started and want to automate processes, it becomes difficult to automate some processes. Of course you first want to optimize the process before automating it. However, it can still be difficult to automate some process because of the complexity. Then, an extensive guide for Microsoft Power Automate would be helpful.

Yes

Did implementation of Microsoft Power Automate go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Power Automate again?

No

Microsoft Power Automate works well if you want to process much within the Microsoft architecture.Within this architecture there's a lot possible within the Microsoft Apps. When you are looking for an automation on desktop apps or with third parties, Microsoft Power Automate is less suited. There are a lot of integrations possible, but there are also quite a lot of integrations missing, that's a pity.
