Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

Our internal teams communicate with each other, upload and store documents on the Team Channels and Files, set up and join meetings through Teams, and also communicate during the meetings through those Teams chat rooms. Most importantly is the communication and the storage aspect - we are able to communicate immediately and daily, note important chat messages(even save them), and can reach anyone in the company quickly. Storage-wise - we seem to be always running out of room - but ever since we're working from home, we've been using Teams to store all our project files and not our VPN connection because it's simply much faster.
  • Meetings.
  • Daily and speedy communication.
  • File Storage.
  • Comfortable UX/UI.
  • File Storage is a little clunky for new users, there was a learning curve in understanding the difference between Channels, Teams, Files, and where to communicate. The UI could be improved.
  • The connection of the file storage with Sharepoint gets tricky, where if we edit a certain file in one location, either it sometimes mirrors the action on the other platform, but sometimes it doesn't. It created a lot of issues.
  • File Storage.
  • Communication.
  • Meetings.
  • Positive impact thanks to the constant communication even without being in the office.
  • Positive impact on file storage capabilities, since we could migrate our files over and start using it almost immediately and conveniently.
I enjoy Teams better than Lync/Skype for Business, but I enjoy Slack the most for inter-company communication and UI/UX convenience. The learning curve for Slack is very small and it has a casual atmosphere that would engage the employees in a more fun and welcoming manner than a stark and professional background of Teams.

Do you think Microsoft Teams delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Microsoft Teams's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Teams live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Microsoft Teams go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Microsoft Teams again?

Yes

Definitely appropriate for professional settings, especially because of the fact that it is connected to all the other Microsoft package softwares such as our Outlook, Calendars, Sharepoint, etc. It's quick and simple to use, albeit the file storage is a little bit of a learning curve. Where it might be less appropriate is with external customers - I haven't been on that side of things, but the functionality of some of the external users(who get invited to meetings) are missing within their Window. Most of all though, it's been pretty smooth and easy to use. Definitely recommend as a priority for most corporate communication.
