Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

I use Microsoft Teams for meetings with external partners like web agencies or talent acquisition firms to hire people for my teams. It allows me to exchange with people that are not based in my city and see if we have an opportunity to work together and if we can bring value on the table.

Pros

  • Web or application tools for meeting
  • Allow team meeting with many people
  • Interactive possibilities: screen sharing, chat etc...

Cons

  • Video quality can be improved
  • Call reliability / stability
  • Application seems useless in many context regarding web app feature coverage
  • Allow to exchange with everyone, Microsoft Teams user or not
  • Web based version to avoid app installation
  • Large scope of features for team workshop, like feature framing, talent acquisition meeting, etc...
It is not the first tool I use to make a team meeting, but when I have to use it with external partners, it is an enabler to exchange with contacts using that suite. Large collaboration feature list, and user experience are a plus to make calls and workshops efficient. Another key point is the possibility to use it as an app or a web application, which allow you to exchange with other people using Mac, PC, phone, tablet, etc... so it allows us to cover a large scope of situations.
Microsoft Teams is a complementary tool I used in my software panel. So it can cover many cases where partners are not using the same tools as the ones used in my firm. It is a complementary tool with other ones like Miro, Slack, and Jira, for example, in order to facilitate workshops with teams for framing, team meetings, or business calls.

Do you think Microsoft Teams delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Microsoft Teams's feature set?

Yes

Did Microsoft Teams live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Microsoft Teams go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Microsoft Teams again?

Yes

Microsoft Teams is a good choice if Microsoft suites are fully implemented in your firm's software landscape, it allows native document sharing capabilities with SharePoint, Office, Outlook, etc...
If you are using Google Suite, the story is not the same one: the Google Meet feature is the native solution and offers the potential benefits of Microsoft Teams.
