Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams

We use Microsoft Teams in my organization to communicate through the chat, collaborate with othere in our organization, organize and store files, share information, and control access to information. Microsoft Teams has allowed our organization to keep information everyone needs in one place so no one has to search endlessly to find documents, revisions, files, etc. We also use Microsoft Teams to keep our files safe, after 2 separate network crashes due to malware, we now can store things in Microsoft Teams without having to worry that they will ever be lost.

Pros

  • Chat, is a great way to talk to co-workers and even customers and vendors and keep the line of communication open.
  • Microsoft Teams allows our entire organization to meet together, for training, or company updates, etc.
  • Microsoft Teams stores whatever data we upload so we know it is safe! That information can also be only accessible to specific people or groups which is a great way to keep proprietary information safe.
  • Microsoft Teams has so many features that are so easy to use, it encourages employees to share information and collaborate.

Cons

  • Microsoft Teams does rely on internet quality, so If you are needing information on found in Teams and your internet is down or choppy, you wont be able to access those files unlike if they were stored directly on your computer or network.
  • Some of the user interface of Microsoft Teams is not user friendly, it can take a long time to figure out how to use some tool even if you are using the help or troubleshooting.
  • Some of the Microsoft Teams features are limited to anyone using the free version vs. paid. With the paid, you have more storage, more video time, more tools. It would be nice to see the free version have the same features and ability.
  • Microsoft Teams has helped an entire company become more efficient, which saves the company money and frees up time for workers to focus on other areas.
  • By having a secure place to store information used by multiple departments, not only is time saved searching for information but also ensuring that an entire organization has access to the same and accurate information, which prevents errors and confusion.
  • Using Microsoft Teams you can work remotely and still be able to effectively communicate with your coworkers and not miss any important notifications or information.
It is great to use, has many applicable tools that are available but not it is not entirely user friendly. You may have to dig for a while to find what you need or how to use a tool.
Microsoft Teams blows the other applications out of the water with its capabilities, tools, convenience, and even price. You can do more with Microsoft Teams and pay less.

I am so impressed with the Microsoft Teams, I am not sure there is a scenario where it is less appropriate other than in places where internet connectivity is an issue.
