Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is the go-to tool in our organization for planning, brainstorming & real-time collaboration. No more excel/docs need to be shared over email, with Miro communication is real-time, without wires. Fewer emails and Slack messages, more time to work on quality stuff, that really matters to our business. Whoever joins the team, is being requested to start using Miro from day-1.

Pros

  • The mindmaps are the greatest thing that ever happened to collaboration. (at least I think that).
  • Miro templates, really really help to get off the ground ASAP.
  • Miro mobile app keeps you in touch with the organisation, so you don't feel missed out. Even if you go on a vacation.

Cons

  • We do a lot of software development and use Jira. Miro has a Jira integration but I feel if we can get native agile software development, that would help, I am happy to move to Miro from Jira for that feature.
  • Miro personal Free plans need to be more generous (I would like to onboard my family to Miro, a free plan with more goodies for personal use would be appreciated).
  • Improved prodctivity and team colloboration at time when 99% of the organizaztion is remote.
  • All information is on one place, not need to scan through the email box.
  • Negative impact (if I change my company that does not use miro): I don't think we are going back to Excel / Word documents sharing over the email again, or Slack docs sharing, etc.
I was not a part of that, sorry. All of a sudden, we got an email to try a new service Miro, and since then I never looked back.
Superficially integration seems very easy, however, I have not done integration by myself. My IT team has done the integration and they just do that in a few hours, so I can say integration is super easy.
Honestly, we have not yet tried using Miro whiteboards, overall the value proposition of the whiteboard feature sounds very promising. I would give it a try and share more feedback with you.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Other than Trello and draw.io (that I have used previously) Miro provides so many other features that are very key in collaboration. The ready-made templates and Miroverse are so cool and help us start any form of ideation, that other tools do not provide.
We started to use Miro for workshop and events planning, which went extremely well. Then I started to use it for my personal and professional agenda building, todo-list, and projects. Later we rolled out to the rest of the other teams and started to share Miro boards with colleagues, inviting them to join the collaboration. I can't think of a scenario where Miro is less appropriate, maybe ordering food online :) or there is an integration for that as well, LoL.
