Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro to define core objectives and topics to be addressed in internal research projects, often with a multidisciplinary team. Multidisciplinary teamwork makes alignment of expectations within the team critical, and Miro is useful in managing this process. Additionally, these projects typically have stakeholders from several unique business areas, with Miro playing a role in communicating project objectives outside the core team.

Pros

  • Collaboration
  • Connecting thoughts and ideas
  • Standardized set-ups for collaborative work
  • Flexibility for making common notes in more or less structured ways

Cons

  • Copy-pasting could be easier (support for mouse copy-paste, not only keyboard)
  • Dragging multiple figures around does not work optimally
  • Positive impact: More clearly defined objectives
  • Positive impact: Team alignment on OKRs
  • Positive impact: Improved productivity with respect to development of OKRs
Works well in our team.
We use Miro stand-alone. Have not done anything to attempt integration with other tools.
Enabled collaborative whiteboard-style work within our team, which has been working remotely throughout the pandemic.

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Well suited for retrospective sessions. Well suited for brainwriting, elicitation of objectives, and key results. In essence, very good for collaborative work that is fairly unstructured/early-stage. Less suited for follow-up of sprints (even though template agile boards are supplied). For individual work, I prefer using other tools.
