Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it for our group meetings, which for the last two years due to Covid, have been conducted virtually and remotely. In previous F2F meetings, we would’ve used a physical board and sticky notes or markers. Miro allows us to do the same thing but in a digital virtual environment.
  • Captures people’s thoughts
  • Allows for systematic layout of a process
  • Allows for many people to contribute simultaneously
  • Ability to revisit and amend at any time
  • Make it easier to scroll around
  • Different text fonts
  • Don’t allow notes to overlap
  • Enables better collaboration across an entire team
  • Provides a framework document, which can be used to develop further into robust guidance documents
  • Enables us to directly involve external stakeholders at distance
I think the most important thing is that the Miro board is implemented early in any process where such collaboration is required. The design and layout of the Miro board and ensuring it is specific to the task at hand are as crucial. Careful pre-planning is essential for this.
With familiarisation over the last couple of years, the use of the Miro board has become much easier. I think there is an element of people needing to get used to the format and become confident in using it. At Novartis, it is commonplace to have a Miro board at our meetings which are fully virtual. It might be less applicable to hybrid or F2F meetings.
This is the main point of Miro board for us. Our team is located throughout the UK, so in scenarios where it is impractical for us to be physically in the same room together, the Miro board provides an ideal mechanism for us to collaborate and generate ideas. Miro has been an essential tool for us over the last two years.

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

We frequently use Miro for brainstorming sessions with areas of the board devoted to various topics and structure a meeting lasting maybe 2 hours around this with time devoted to each section or topic. Everyone is able to contribute by recording their thoughts on the board, and then afterward, the meeting owner can compile and analyze the insights gained.
