Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is incredibly useful for ideation-type activities, whether individually or in a team situation. It can be quite useful for project planning or evaluation exercises. It is quite good to mock up data dashboards before implementing them, walking through potential users to get feedback early in the design process. Miro acts as a team whiteboard in times when people are asked to work from home.
  • Wide range of templates and use case ideas
  • Intuitive user interface
  • Good integration with Microsoft Teams
  • Version control for things that get accidentally deleted
  • More formatting options for text in post it notes
  • More integrations with other online tools
  • Greater collaboration
  • More lateral thinking
  • Increased productivity
It seems to be designed pretty well from a software perspective. I don't have any glaring issues on the top of my mind for it. The desktop application is extremely useful for me, as it removes the need to search for a Miro tab in the midst of many other browser tabs.
Miro is integrated into the Microsoft ecosystem well enough that my team is able to use most of it. Features such as adding a Miro board directly to a Microsoft Teams call are quite convenient, however, I think the speed could be improved there as it sometimes slows things down a bit.
Miro makes it easier for remote teams to collaborate on projects or work requiring ideation that typically requires an in person-environment. With this tool, people are not necessarily disadvantaged anymore when they are working from home, as everyone has the same view of the board and access to change it.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Specific scenarios where Miro was well suited include working with multiple people over a Microsoft Teams call and screen sharing aboard, where people are able to add their own notes or ideas. This worked well for our team in a workshop setting, where there was a facilitator guiding the focus areas on the Miro board.
