Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I teach professionals enrolled in a Master's certificate. It is great to create a space where everybody can collaborate. One class a week for 14 weeks.
  • White board
  • Space to put content for my students
  • It's great, so far, I have not found limitations.
  • Maybe, the app could give us the opportunity to share a link.
  • Ease to use for all
  • It could be easier to share a link to the board when using the app on my Mac
  • It is awesome to see where the student's cursors are and where they are working.
  • Boards that are shared with me are not on my list of boards. It would be great to add this feature.
  • It would be great to be able to share ownership of the boards with my co-teacher.
Apart from the sharing of a link while using the app, so far it has been great. Once the students got the link, we go to the same board every week. At the end of the term, all our work will have been recorded on that particular board. Another great feature is that from term to term and from courses to courses, I can easily switch between my boards.
My students all had an easy time getting to and using it. There was no integration per se. We build the content week after week. My students appreciate being able to go back to the board to add to their creations or study the content for our evaluations. I am appreciating the fact that I do not have to build a different tool every week.
Because my students are all over the Quebec province, Miro has allowed me to find a better tool than provided by Microsoft or Google's Jamboard.

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

No

By far, it is the best and I appreciate the free institution account. It has more features, it is less buggy and easier to use than the competitors. All of the added features (drawing, sharing, inviting, drawing) allow our students to better express themselves and communicate with the other students. Miro's collaborative platform is also more powerful it seems as there never has been a crash like with the other platforms.
It is great for a classroom of professionals with a good understanding of technology. Some of my less technically able students take a minute or so to get around but other students help them. It would be a great time saver if they looked at your guides and videos
