Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I ran a workshop in science communication for my research. I wanted to get insights from participants about science communication training. Miro allowed me to have all participants in the same place and work with their ideas. The board is an easy and fast way to get people to write and participate. Then we ranked the best views on the board, and this helped me to get a consensus about the best ways of assessing science communication training.

In the beginning, it can be tricky to understand how to set the board, but then it gets easier. For participants, if you give them the right instructions at the star, the following interactions flow smoothly and fast. You can always add more information or figures in real-time and get people to work on them.
Sometimes it gets confusing to use Miro if you are not on a computer. Some people might find it difficult to start interacting with coworkers or peers through an online board. Clearer instructions for people who can't see the board as an intuitive tool can be added to solve the problem.
Miro has been a helpful tool in my lab since we belong to different parts of the world and now we have a place to put all our ideas at the same time. We can also work at different hours and see the progress some others have made. For my research, this tool was also the best way to get data.

Miro is way more interactive. It has way more tools to add. It has more space and you can easily move around the board, add and erase information and forms. Google Jamboard does not have enough space to move and lacks tools. Also, it does not feel that you are working with other people at the same time.
Miro is helpful for research labs where people interact only online. Live discussions are easier and more interactive on this board than in other whiteboards or documents. When running workshops are also a great tool to get people to interact. I heard positive comments from participants about Miro in my workshop. When doing research if you want to get data from multiple participants in a live session.
