Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I discovered Miro at my last job from a video discussing helpful tools in Event Planning. We utilized it to make flow charts and task lists. When I moved to a different company, I suggested Miro as a way to do a convention floor plan map that was viewable to hundreds of people but only select individuals could edit it. We uploaded the floor plan and then used sticky notes for the name of each vendor. It was easy to edit and move them around, even when a couple of hundred people were viewing the map at that moment.
Pros
- User friendly tools
- Real-time updates
- Pre-made templates
Cons
- Copy/paste of sticky notes is not precise. Would prefer to be able to paste exactly where my mouse pointer is.
- Improved productivity
- Increased effectiveness of remote work
- Improved virtual communication
At my previous job, we had employees in a different state/time zone who were able to check the project boards to see what was accomplished the day before after their work hours had ended. It eliminated any time delay of the west coast people having to explain where we left off. In my current job, it allows people from all over the country to view floor plans and seating charts that are updated live. Miro is also just one of the many tools that allowed our company to go to completely remote working and we cut overhead costs by eliminating a physical office.
