Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Discovery of internal processes and customer needs, wireframing and diagramming. We need to graphically simplify complex problems and scenarios for designing our products, services and solutions.
Conducting internal activities and dynamics, organizing workflows, sharing content across distributed teams.
We are in need of working in multiple workstreams in an agile way without creating hurdles for sharing or collaborating.

Pros

  • Easiness of use
  • Sharing content
  • Velocity of creation
  • Shortcuts in creation

Cons

  • Initial access can be complex
  • Pricing can be an issue
  • Things can get overwhelming in a huge canvas sometimes
  • Increased efficiency
  • Improved productivity
  • Increased collaboration
Implementation could be an issue if adoption across the company is not done equally across departments that collaborate together. Then access could be a barrier for some, while others could find that the free version has limitations (in terms of dashboards and sharing options) that other users don't have.
Also, dedicated training is useful in the beginning.
We use Miro as standalone and has not been integrated with other products yet, therefore I cannot rate the ease of integration. However, we will try integrating it with other tools for communication.
A barrier could be the connectivity between corporate tools and Miro if Miro is only used by some departments.
Miro has increased our collaboration in terms of interaction with remote teams or across several locations. It helps increase participation, motivation and engagement of teams when they can easily access content creation and knowledge sharing.
Also, the ability to separate projects into several boards allows different teams to focus on their goals without being impacted by other content.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro provided more intuitive interface, a nicer user experience and faster content creation and user adoption than FigJam for regular users. It made it easier for teams to collaborate, although draw.io has good collaboration options as well.
Miro has good user and team management while FigJam was more oriented to designers.
It is well suited for diagramming in a fast and agile way, sharing content across distributed teams that are in need of online whiteboards. It is great for graphically describing complex problems and interactions and for going from the big picture to the detailed information.

However, it can be resource consuming on the computer or browser, and it could be overwhelming if being shared a huge canvas with lots of information that may not be properly structured.
