Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We usually use it for brainstorm sessions in our scrum team. Normally we would use post-it cards during these sessions, but when meetings are held digital (which is the case since corona), we use Miro instead. Sometimes I also use it for business purposes like creating story maps and timelines.
Pros
- Facilitate Brainstorm sessions
- Creation of Story Maps
- Creation of Timelines
Cons
- Cards have fixed ratio's, I cannot use rectangles with custom ratio
- I cannot change font size on cards beyond a certain maximum. This is almost always too small.
- Loading times are particulary long
- Navigation is hard. I do not always want to zoom in/out. I want to drag as well. And the scroll bars are quite small and hard to operate.
- There is no table of contents. I want to label slides/frames and navigate to them in a menu/table on the left so I can easily track them. Now there are just a bunch of slides next to each other.
- More efficient brainstorm meetings
- Faster creation of story maps
This works particulary well for us. Our team almost always has digital meetings and we often use Miro to convey our ideas, because then people can all post their ideas simultaneously. If we have to talk about it, it takes much more time. So we use Miro to post our ideas and then we discuss them to distinguish the good from the bad ideas.
Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?
No
Are you happy with Miro's feature set?
No
Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of Miro go as expected?
I wasn't involved with the implementation phase
Would you buy Miro again?
No
We selected the FREE version of Miro. We did not buy it. As I said in earlier questions: for many tasks other applications like PowerPoint and Drawio are much more suited (and also free). For the barinstorm sessions, the free version of Miro is more then enough for us. There is no reason for us to buy Miro and this is also what I tell other people.
