Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for Scaled Agile (SAFe) Program Increment (PI) Planning. We run the whole PI via Miro, we sketch out user journeys to convey what we are doing and plan on PI iterations based on the capacity of our teams

Pros

  • Great for collaboration
  • Creates meaningful flow diagrams
  • Has lots of templates to help you get started

Cons

  • At least within my organization, it seems to be troublesome getting access for new users which prevents 100% participation when needed
  • Need a good way to create a table of contents or something to more easily find boards we've worked on
  • The number of times I've opened Miro and clicked on one of my boards only to have seen the order re-arrange at the last second causing me to have clicked on the wrong board - literally happens about one out of every five times
  • Greater understanding of our project's goals
  • Better planning for what work gets done during our sprints
Probably licensing issues, but it would be real nice if I could give a new user a link to one of my boards, they go to access it, I get prompted for permission, I grant it, they have access.

Pretty cool integrating with Jira... would like to see more - so that if I tweak something in Miro or Jira it shows up on the other site immediately. Getting there
This is one of our biggest uses for this. We never have fully in-person PI Planning events so we use Miro instead of whiteboards so that everyone can see and participate
