Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use miro to assist with PI planning. It is used to visually represent the upcoming challenges and work to be done within the next series of Sprints.

Pros

Cons

  • Transferring boards from one instance to another
  • Roadmapping Templates- once you create the inital version its ok but that first one takes alot of effort
  • Improved productivity
  • shorten meetings due to being able to prep detailed examples and areas of input
  • better collaboration
We are fully remote and this tool has been a huge help in PI planning. We can collect insights and feedback in realtime from across the world. It also aides in meeting prep because im able to create a very visual agenda with points of input for attendees.

Figma has much better interface for creating wireframes and designing UI. Miro does a better job for the casual user who is just trying to collaborate with team members or plan projects
I have used it as a participant in user experience and persona creation. It was an easy tool to do those things in. The presenter had areas set up for interaction and as she went through each point she moved to that area of the board. The team could easily collaborate and add input where and when needed.

I found creating project roadmaps to be difficult. Once they were set up they are easy to maintain and duplicate but that initial setup takes a lot of effort. Having more templates for this activity would be beneficial.
