Using Miro has changed my everyday working life!
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro every single day at work and I wouldn't use any other platform. As a user researcher, I use Miro as a centralised platform to collate and analyse my research data. I can then choose to use my Miro boards to create presentations from, or to present directly in Miro depending on the use case. In the last year I've started using Miro boards more as museums and galleries of my research where my stakeholders can access all of the previous research done on a particular topic in one Miro board.
Pros
- Centralising information
- Providing a collaborative workspace
- Allowing for live note taking
Cons
- Sometimes laggy when boards are big
- Tables can be finicky to use
- Improved efficiency of analysis
- Improved surfacing research insights
- Improved collaboration between stakeholders
I use Miro for my research analysis so I would say the features of Miro I use the most are the sticky notes features, frames and presenting from Miro, sticker and emojis, the timer in workshops, templates for workshop set-up, and recently I've been using the AI document summary more after my research is complete to give me a better idea of the high level findings of a project.
Definitely. Previously I would use other note taking programs like Optimal Workshop when running research but now I primarily use Miro for everything. When I was doing my research before I used Miro, I would have my notes and analysis existing in completely separate spaces but now I have everything together. My test plan, notes, analysis and presentation all exist in one space which is great for building repositories and surfacing information about a project.
Miro has massively improved our teams ability to work collaboratively across different locations. As our company is global, it's imperative that we have a tool that is flexible and allows for a live collaborative workspace. We run ideation sessions frequently and they are always done on Miro because of how easy it is to use for facilitators but also how simple it is for people to learn quickly how to use it.
Miro definitely is more of an all-in-one space for my research analysis than other tools I've tried to use. Previously I would have parts of a research project spread out across word documents, excel sheets, PowerPoints and note taking programs but with Miro everything exists in one place. I use Miro like each board is a gallery of work that contains or links to every asset of the research project which makes everything surface able and accessible to my stakeholders.
