Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Our team primarily use Miro as an alternative to Visio. I most often reach fir it when mapping processes or user journeys, etc. We also use it to manage some of the more casual agile sessions as well, such as retro. That's worked well, but I've also found myself using it for remote brainstorming and ideation sessions; to work collaboratively on a single doc we can all contribute to a the same time.
- Remote collaboration
- Process mapping
- Detailed diagrams
- Clean, fresh look
- Reviewing tools (commenting, responding to comments, closing off feedback, etc)
- Updates to existing diagrams (can accidentally move things accidentally, etc)
- Export options. They're fine for most purposes, but as a developer would be nice to export to canvas or svg
- Very quick to get a clean professional result when it comes to diagramming
- Can template your most common uses for better consistency, and get up and running with new docs quickly
It's been an absolute game changer. We've tried using many tools to overcome this issue, and Miro is head and shoulders above any competitor we've tried in terms of flexibility, ease of use, and just general usability.
Miro is by far my preference. It's so much easier to get a clean result out of quickly, and the collaboration tools are the best.
In addition to the tools listed, I've also used Excalidraw, and TLdraw, While I love these two in particular, they're not things I'd introduce to a non-technical audience.
