Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I’m currently using it to describe the issues and problems our clients are facing, and develop (together with the UX designer and Tech Lead) solutions to address them in the seamless way. Those solutions turn afterwards into product features.
I have also used it to create roadmaps, roles & responsibilities matrix, value-effort matrix, process flows, and even writing user stories drafts. Last but not least, I have also used it to express user journeys and indicate events to be tagged in amplitude for analytics measurement.

Pros

  • Flowcharts (swim lanes): this is one of the templates I use the most; it makes it really simple to create the flows and provide a simple way to visualize processes
  • Ease of use: in general, all the artifacts are very ease to use with in the chart and at hand
  • Templates: provides amazing templates that makes the work easier and faster

Cons

  • Excel/ power Point export: I’d love to be able to export the flows creates into a spreadsheet or into a slide, or perhaps other flows like lucid chart
  • Reduced rework: when reviewing processes and workflows, being able to collaboratively design or highlight pains/ benefits helped reduce the rework
  • Reduced time and increased ROI: by using this collaborative tool many meeting were replaced by leaving comments on the dashboard, giving feedback on each part of the design
  • Increased impact accuracy: by showing the events to be tagged on the flow, we were able to understand if what we were trying to measure made sense, and speed up the tagging process with in amplitude
The impact was huge, since we work remotely, we have no offices around the world.
I wasn’t part of that decision.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Best suited: friendly user tool to map processes/ brainstorm and grant collaboration from all the people envolver in the meeting. Workshops are much easier to be held with this tool.
Less appropriate: when the audience isn’t familiar with the tool it may require a walkthrough (not a heavy task to do though).
