Miro Feedback November 2024.
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for meeting agendas, brainstorming, mapping out plans, creative jams, and basically anything that needs visual mapping; it is our go-to platform. Without Miro, we wouldn't have a great tool for explaining or sorting things visually. One recent project involved looking at a few other websites, adding sticky notes and comments on what we liked, and then building a template for what our website page could look like. Miro was perfect for that.
Pros
- Easy to use.
- Lots of versatility - you can add anything from shapes to texts to images to emojis.
- Easy to collaborate.
Cons
- I wish there was a way to center and align everything in a section. When I'm in my files on my Mac, I can click "clean up," and all the icons will center themselves. It would be great if I had a bunch of sticky notes all clustered together.
- The tables are not super user-friendly. I wish there was an easier way to include tables or spreadsheet-like tools.
- When I connect two boxes with a line, it's pretty rigid in how it connects the line. This is nitpicky, but I wish I could dictate where the line starts and ends between the two boxes. Otherwise,e the lines kind of zig-zag up and down multiple boxes.
- I know you guys just updated the homepage, but something about it still feels a little noisy. I think the sidebar just might be too big. We pretty much only create blank boards, so I wish we could get rid of all the different options at the top (flowchart, mind map, etc.)
- We are definitely getting a lot of value out of Miro in the areas I mentioned earlier. I'm not sure about ROI specifically, but it feels like a great investment.
We can collaborate more with Miro. We can set an agenda for a meeting with our hybrid team, collaborate on Miro during our meeting, and then continue using that moving forward, expanding it as the project does. We can also keep track of everyone's projects year-round on one master sheet.
Before Miro, I would sometimes build something like a board in PowerPoint. Upgrading to Miro was like going from a horse-and-buggy to a Ferrari.
