Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro for process mapping when complex flowcharts don't fit well within the confines of Slides or documents. The Miro canvas allows for extreme flexibility in this regard.
Pros
- Flowcharts
- Brainstorming canvas.
- Retrospective canvas.
Cons
- In flowchart mode, swim lanes are sometimes too hardcoded to use. They tend to "jump" and don't allow additional shapes to be inserted in a well-placed manner.
- Increased Productivity: we have certainly seen better collaboration at times, where the visual nature of the tool makes it the go-to for specific team collaborative tasks.
- Costs: I cannot comment on costs as it provides the tool, but I enjoy having the option to use it.
I like the ability to work as if we were in the room. The central aspect that I struggle with is bringing the results of the collaboration within our existing project management tools without requiring manual re-work, and this seems impossible at the moment.
My main perception is that Miro offers more unlimited capabilities as it is not tied to a format or set of tools. This has great benefits in terms of creativity and collaboration. However, it does not offer native integration as other platforms would.
