Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro as part of our planning and design sessions. Here we detail the product requirements, high level architecture, work breakdown structure and resourcing plan. Miro helps us colloborate remotely, using a wide range of materials from screengrabs, to diagrams and process flows.
The Miro board becomes an active document throughout the product development lifecycle.

Pros
- Remote Colloboration
- Process flow diagramming
- Resource planning
Cons
- can be unresponsive for larger boards
- would like to see a greater range of icons and assets for diagramming
- would love additional AI functionality
- has increased productivity within the team
- has sped up our time from ideation to delivery
- has reduced dependence on offline emails and artefacts
this has helped greatly. even when we bring the team together in a colocated session, we end up using Miro so that everyone has the same reference material when they travel back to their home office local.
The remote collborative features have radically lessened our dependence on sharing static files, which often end up out of date

Lucid is the closest in functionality, but we find it is easier to "guest" in contractors and other external contributors using Miro. Visio is useful for architecture diagrams, but the online colloboration and it's usefulness for other use cases mean that it is used less. Figma remains the tool of choice for wireframing
