Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I work on a product innovation team at Miro. We use Miro to map out each phase of our product development process, from Discover through Define. We document and share competitor research, map out user flows, create rough wireframes, create user personas, and document and analyze the findings of our user research. It's also a great brainstorming and collaboration tool for us.
Pros
- Diagramming and mind maps
- Making templates easy to share
- Real-time collaboration
- The AI analysis is also pretty helpful!
Cons
- More document integration
- More tutorials - there's so much it's overwhelming!
- Improved team collaboration and alignment across functions
- Higher team productivity
- Faster product delivery
The ability to document mind maps and user flows has been such a critical tool for collaboration between myself (content), UX designers, and product stakeholders. Additionally, it's a critical part of our user research process. Using stickies to document, analyze, and categorize user sentiment, themes, etc. has been such a game-changer for us as the software we use for UX research is severely lacking in these tools.
Somewhat. We still rely on several other platforms, most notably Jira, Powerpoint, Figma, Word, Adobe Suite, and Teams. Miro's document integration in particular is a bit hard to use and I haven't found the prototyping tool to be particularly helpful - we stick with Figma. While I think Jira integration would be incredibly helpful, our organizatoin does not have this enabled.
