Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

We use monday.com for managing internal transversal projects. Our scope is between 25 and 30 projects per year, varying in themes such as events, product delivery, and custom service-based solution development, and our stakeholders are mainly coworkers from within our department. We use monday.com to have better visibility on the ongoing projects, especially during a busier time of year. We also use the platform to manage operational tasks, (recurring meetings, monthly newsletter writing) to facilitate note archiving and agenda management.

Pros

  • Provide effective visual aids for project tracking.
  • User friendly platform for updating project details (tasks, collaborators, timeline, etc).
  • A plethora of customizable templates for every need (project management, operational management, to-do lists, goal setting, etc).

Cons

  • The automating functions are sometimes confusing. It is not always clear in which setting they should be used.
  • Time-saving (It allows me to spend more time WORKING on the task rather than PLANNING it).
  • Increased visibility for stakeholders (Boards are easily understandable and shareable).
  • Optimization of change management (The user-friendly aspect allows for more flexible project management methods).
The user-friendly aspect of monday.com is really what sells me. Everything is customizable! The color-coding allows for easy tracking of different tasks, projects, boards, etc. The drag-and-drop of items is a wonderful feature and saves me a lot of time, along with the copy to/move to features where you can copy or transfer information from one group or board to another. I don't really use the automated and integrated features, so I can't comment on that. However, I do appreciate that monday.com is compatible with so many other platforms (Teams, Slack, Gmail, etc).
I haven't really had the need to deal with Customer Support since I have been using the platform, so I can't really comment on it. I initially started using monday.com as a student. When registering to the platform, I did communicate with Customer Support and they were really helpful in guiding me through the different plans that were offered to students. Their team was quick to respond and clear in their emails!
The different features found on Monday.com definitely live up to the expectations. Every feature I have used, from different board views to adding collaborators to a task, and even transferring information from board to board, has been proven to be effective in the long term. They help me save time and effectively plan my week. I am better able to structure my daily to-do list. Features such as the calendar view, timeline, and Time help me keep track of my level of productivity, and if my time estimate is realistic for the different tasks found on throughout my projects. Also, I have never encountered a bug or lost any data, etc.

monday.com is a great tool for every person who is more visual when it comes to task management. Whether you are a student, experienced project management, new in the field, or even in the search of a simple platform to help you better plan your day-to-day, Monday.com allows you to keep track of everything in the simplest way, from color-coding to different board views, and filtering settings.
