Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My colleagues and I use monday.com to set projects, deliverables, and milestones. We've used it when planning the execution of our new brand and customer value proposition to the market. In my job function, I use it to plan digital marketing campaigns and always-on activities and assign tasks to the relevant team members. The tool helps to keep every team member accountable and deliver project activities in an efficient and effective manner.

Assigning people into the project items
Setting deadlines
Seeing the project status to ensure work is in track and on time
Attaching files related to the project
Creating high-level bigger items with subitems to ensure deliverables aren't overwhelming
Timeline view in a calendar format
Integration with other services or tools
The ability to add different views such as Gantt chart, Kanban board, dashboard, cards, etc.

Cons

Make add view (+) functionality prominent. It's not obvious for novice users.
Provide different templates of Kanban board that are suitable for different business units
On monday.com academy, create a platform that allows learners to accumulate points to see how far they are with their knowledge
Following the points system under academy, introduce badges. This is something similar to Salesforce Trailheads. This will quickly drive adoption.

Usability

The tool is very intuitive. I rated 9 because I feel there are some features that could be made prominent. Some of the features are not that prominent at first glance until a user plays with the system or takes time to learn from the academy. It would also be great to have a section that shows how different business units could best use the tool in order to achieve the best results. Business units such as Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, etc. IT has always been the department that's applied agile principles and is more likely to have defined ways of using monday.com.

Support Rating

I've never had to contact customer support by far. But based on the ratings it seems the support team is indeed doing a great job. All I can say is that the support team must keep up the good work.

Reliability & Availability

At first, when I started using the software, I was overwhelmed. But as I got used to it, it replaced my email as I transferred all my tasks here. The features are great and exciting as one keeps discovering them. The tool has impacted my overall experience positively. I'm now able to manage projects efficiently and effectively.

Likelihood to Recommend

Using monday.com eliminates siloed mentality and allows teams to collaborate and integrate their projects towards the same goal. I've used a lot of tools, but by far monday.com is the most intuitive tool I've used for planning and delivering projects. It also encourages teams to work in an agile manner which makes every team member to be motivated as they see what they are working towards.
